Breaking: Celtics waive French forward, Guerschon Yabusele

Several hours ago, I wrote that the Celtics had a logjam at the wing position and that Guerschon Yabusele should probably find a fit on a rebuilding team. We now learn via reports that he has been waived.

With two years under his belt, the 16th pick in the 2016 draft hasn't shown much. And the three 2019 Summer League games have only verified that he may not be an NBA-level talent.

When a player is best-known for his big butt and friendly manner, you know he may not be long for the league. I, for one, feel bad for him, but the writing was on the wall - and ironically on my computer earlier this morning. We wish this decent young man the best, and he may find a home on another NBA team. This loosens the wing logjam I wrote about, and opens the door to Grant Williams, and possibly Tacko Fall. Yes, it may be Tacko Time in Bean Town.
