WHO IS READY TO PLAY AL HORFORD ON OPENING NIGHT?!?!

I don't want to bash Al too much.  He seems like a decent guy and when he was a Celtic I loved him.  I believed in him.  I believed he could lead us to the promised land.  But I was wrong.  And Al has moved on.  Now one week from tonight we open up the season against his new team, the PHILADELPHIA 76ers!

When Al came here he said he was coming here to help us win a title.  As we all know, that didn't happen.  We almost made it to the finals two years ago, and that was the extent of our success.  For shizz and giggles I went back and googled Al's stats during that Cleveland series when we lost in game 7.  For the series Al averaged 13.5 points a game and 7.5 rebounds a game.  In the deciding game 7, he pulled down a monstrous 4 rebounds. sarcasm font.

13 and 7 for the series.  That's who he was and that's who he is.  The disappointing thing is that he is a 13 and 7 player who was loved by the Celtics fanbase.  We all thought he was better than he is....and if he was still here, we would still be thinking he is better than he is.  Let's get a grip.  Al didn't come here to win a championship.  He came here to help us lose in game 7 of the eastern conference finals.  I'm not saying it was his fault that we lost.  But he definitely wasn't good enough to make us win.  And that's who Al Horford is as a basketball player.  He is good.  Great teammate.  Solid guy who works hard.

On Thursday night of next week, he is going to have to guard either Tatum or Hayward.  Who does he match up against? I'm here to tell everyone right now that there is NO WAY Horford is going to be able to stop Tatum off the dribble. I'm someone who holds grudges (it's not a healthy way to live) so selfishly I'm hoping Tatum embarrasses the ever living crap out of Al all night long.  You don't leave the Celtics to go to the 76ers.  You just don't do it.  They offered you more money?  OK good.  Let's see how that extra money makes you feel about your decision when we bounce your ass in the playoffs this year.

I'd love to tear into the 76ers lineup a bit but let's save it for next week. I'm getting myself worked up too much too soon.

Let's make Al regret his horrible decision Green Team!!!
