The Celtics are 5-1 and the ex-Celtics are doing WHAT???

Last night said it all.  The Celts moved to 5-1 with a win on the road against a Cleveland team that has two monster rebounders on it in K Love and T Thompson.  In years past we would have been manhandled by such a big physical interior.  Not this season.  The Celts outrebounded the Cavs by a 45-44 margin.....proof positive that the Celtics can bang with the big boys. This Green Team is T-O-U-G-H - TOUGH, TOUGH, TOUGH. We rebound at every position.  Heck, Kemba grabbed 8 himself last night.  The dude truly is a beast on the boards from the PG spot. This is a totally underrated aspect of his game.

So now that we have pounded the Bucks and beat Toronto on the way to building a 5-1 record, let's recognize the new guys who have joined the team this season.

Kemba Walker - I said it earlier.  Oh My God is this guy a tough SOB.  He defends at an incredibly high rate.  He takes charges.  And he rebounds.  The guy truly is everything you could want in a point guard.

Grant Williams - Solid physical player who is smart and does all the little things.

Carsen Edwards - Hasn't done much until last night but watch out as the season rolls along and he catches his groove.  He's the best shooter the Celts have had since Ray Allen.  Im serious.

Enes Kanter - Gets an incomplete for obvious reasons.  He has been out for most games but I did like what I saw from him when he was matched up against Embiid in the 76ers game. Don't sleep on this guy.  He's our best rebounder.

And that's pretty much it.  Which brings me to the ex-Celtics....

LOOK at the stats these guys are putting up:

Kyrie - Points 31.7, Rebounds: 6.1, Assists: 7.7
Terry Rozier - Points: 16.9, Rebounds: 4.1, Assists: 5.6
Marcus Morris - 17.9, Rebounds: 5.4, Assists: 1
Al Horford - Points: 18.8, Rebounds: 7.7, Assists: 4.2
Aron Baines - Points: 15, Rebounds: 5.9, Assists: 3.6

Let's total those numbers:  Points: 100.8, Rebounds: 29.2, Assists: 22.1

And let's look at the Celtics TEAM totals this season: Points: 110.3, Rebounds 46.2, Assists: 22.2

The ex-Celtics are all crushing it.  And by crushing it, I mean they are all putting up individual career highs in scoring.  I repeat: THEY ARE ALL PUTTING UP CAREER HIGHS IN POINTS!  Truly amazing!  How the heck and why the heck is that happening?
