Who reads Celtics blogs on Thanksgiving? REAL FANS!

Oh man is there a lot to give thanks for this Celtics Thanksgiving Day.  Here's a list:

Kyrie is gone.  I just love saying it.

Kemba Walker is healthy!  He returned last night with a mind blowing 39 points!?!  Seriously, how did that even happen?  Celtics fans everywhere were worried that the guy's season might be over when he ran into Semi the freight train the other night. Turns out that Kemba is fine.  More than fine.  And I'm not saying it's because of us fans, but I'm also not saying it's not.

Gordon Hayward is going to be ok!  It went through all of our minds when Gordon hurt his hand a few weeks back.  "Oh no.  Not again."  Just as our team was looking championship worthy, here comes the injury bug to bite us right in the privates.  But it was just a mosquito bite, as it turns out.  A mere speedbump on the way to the 2019-2020 title.  Gordon will be back and crushing again before we know it.

Jaylen Brown and Jason Tatum are lifting weights.  Have you taken a look at these guys lately?  The dudes are getting jacked.  And it shows in the way they are playing.  Jason Tatum threw down a nasty dunk last night that he would not have thrown down last year.  And Jaylen is developing a nice mid range game where he uses his strength to get into the paint and then rises up for a jump shot.  He knocked down at least two of them last night.  That is a legit playoff scoring move.  If he continues to hit that along with his threes we have ourselves a bonafide superstar on our hands.  Keep working.  And keep lifting.

Our bench has all of the pieces we need.  Brad Wanamaker has gotten so much better.  The guy plays strong and under control and he is knocking down threes.  He is developing into a perfect backup point guard.  Kanter offensive rebounds.  Rob Williams intimidates in the paint. Semi plays his D and just lingers around waiting for his time to lock down Giannis once again. The Greek Freak cannot do this to Semi the freight train:

And perhaps most of all, I am thankful for Marcus Smart.  So thankful for Marcus Smart.

On this Thanksgiving Day let's take the time to truly appreciate how much fun this team is to root for.  And how much fun we are going to have as the season moves along from the regular season to the playoffs to the NBA Finals.  It is going to happen.  Enjoy the ride.
