After watching Grant Williams hit 12 3-pointers in a row, I knew his drought would end

I was standing roughly 20 feet away from Grant Williams during warm-ups prior to the Nuggets game on Friday at TD Garden. He was only taking 3-point shots, and I stopped counting when he hit roughly 12 in a row. That is when I knew his long-shot-drought would end soon. It didn't take long.

Grant's streak of 25 3-point misses in a row during games ended last night in Boston's win over the Cavaliers. He made good on this shot from beyond the arc, bringing his trey totals to 1-of-26 for 3.8% accuracy. It was then that the joking and pranks from his teammates started. Shows just how loose and relaxed this current Celtics crew really is. You have to love this group.

I will also add that Grant is 14-of-17 (82.4%) on free throws this season. This youngster can shoot the ball. He is a rookie but doesn't react like one. My great grandson, Carson Thomas Lane, was at TD Garden last night with his surrogate dad, Josh Farrell, and both were standing courtside with me on Friday when Williams was taking his warm-up threes. Maybe that changed his luck. I hope so.
